About Gary Sweeten
For nearly fifty years, Dr. Gary Sweeten has devoted himself to “Building a Lifetime of Great Relationships” as a counselor, educator, and pastor. He began this lifetime of study and teaching with a doctoral dissertation on integrating modern psychology with solid biblical truth to foster holistic emotional and relational health. Over the years, Gary has mentored countless pastors and lay people in how to grow their congregations into “therapeutic communities” like the early churches in the book of Acts.
Gary founded Lifeway Counseling Centers, and he’s established branches of his ministry in Scandinavia, Russia, and Southeast Asia, while his printed materials have reached scores of other countries. Always Christ-centered, Gary is also light-hearted and engaging. Gary has most recently launched RelationalPeace.org to recast his teachings in a format that’s accessible to a new generation.

With the advent of online learning and the accessability the internet provides, Gary and his team have launched RelationalPeace.org to make his equipping materials accessible world-wide. The online courses are video-based with accompanying workbooks, and can be consumed individually, in families or in a group format.
